Python Devours Chained Dog - Gets Stuck With Chain Hanging Out Of Its Mouth

Not a good way to fish for python methinks

"A woman in Australia jumped out of bed to find a snake on her property. Adding to the horror and trauma, she also came to the realization that the slithery creature ate her beloved dog.

A woman in Australia got the shock of her life when she discovered a very large, and very content, python inside her dog's kennel.

Adding to the horror, she realized the slithery creature had eaten her beloved little dog.

It's safe to say instant panic set in for the woman, especially when she spotted her dog's chain hanging out of the python's mouth. The incident is not only sad, but also ironic.

The woman had chained her dog, a Chihuahua-Maltese cross, to the kennel to stop the pooch from going after native wildlife. She had no way of knowing the well thought out idea would backfire and that the chained up canine would in turn become a victim to wildlife.

The snake was handed over to a rescue organization. It will be released back into the wild in the near future, however experts are waiting for the python to digest its food and regurgitate the partially swallowed chain.

For now, the snake is in good condition and is said to be 'happy'."
