Doggie Stranded 4 Miles Offshore On Ice Gets Rescued

"I'm not your buddy,  pal!"

"Crew members from the local U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bristol Bay found the dog stranded atop the ice and were able to safely hoist it onto the ship. The dog was found about 4 miles off the coast.

Once on board the ship, the dog was provided with food and first aid.

A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue assisted in transferring the dog to a vet's office for care.

The rescue group says the dog suffered from frostbite, was undernourished, dehydrated and had a pre-existing flea issue.

The Coast Guard Cutter Bristol Bay is a 140-foot ice-breaking tug based in Detroit."
