Sex Crime Detective Pleads Guilty For Sex Crime

"A San Jose police detective who investigated sex crimes is facing at least six months in jail after pleading guilty to a charge that he exchanged explicit photographs with a teenage girl.

The San Jose Mercury News reports (http://bit.ly/1auItSa ) that as a condition of the plea he entered Thursday, 34-year-old Tony Fregger also agreed to resign from the police department where he had worked for eight years.

The newspaper says authorities who seized Fregger's computer earlier this year found evidence he had solicited and received racy photos from a girl who told him she was 17 years old, but was really 16.
Either way, Deputy District Attorney David Ezgar says the detective knew "better than anyone" that his actions were illegal while the girl was a minor."

Actually,  this seems to be the norm.  People who are attracted to children seem to go into career paths that intersect youth;  Boy Scout leader,  coach,  priest,  just to name a few.
